Bitesize Lectures
Bitesize Lectures are periodic public events organised by FoAM in Brussels. The events consist of lectures and presentations by emerging and established practitioners in a variety of fields. The talks last for approximately one hour, with another two or three hours reserved for discussions moderated by one of FoAM's collaborators. The presentations are complemented by thematic foods and drinks, encouraging an informal and relaxed atmosphere. We designed this series to allow in-depth conversations with people who are great speakers and have interesting things to say, without being rushed. We wanted to go beyond the obligatory Q&A session and encourage inspiring dialogues which could be valuable for both presenters and audience. Regular guests at the series are a mixture of people either professionally or personally curious about the speakers and the topics. Lectures avoid excessive use of jargon, which facilitates conversation between disciplines.
