Library Salon #5
FoAM invites you to a Library Salon on time and idleness, celebrating the spring equinox and the (almost) total solar eclipse.
Library Salons are informal occasions hosted at FoAM Brussels to celebrate the pleasure of the written and spoken word, where we gather to read short passages from texts found in FoAM's library or elsewhere. Surprising connections between words and voices provide an experience of high delectation, while thematic afternoon tea is served to refresh the vocal chords.
This Library Salon is dedicated to experiential time, idleness, renewal, balance, light and darkness. We invite you to join us in reading from one of your favourite works. In previous Salons, participants have read from poems, manifestos, treatises, articles, or stories in all languages and genres. Or you can arrive without plan and choose something from the library on the spur of the moment. If you can't make it in person we invite you to send us your chosen text, and one of us will read it as your proxy.
